Tonight, on the way home, we were singing songs in the car and we decided to sing "Jesus Loves Me". When we finished, Big Sister said in a choked up voice, "That kinda made me cry." It was so sweet. She couldn't speak for a minute. Oh how I pray that the thought of how much Jesus loves her will always produce such a stirring in her soul.
On a funny note, I saw Little Sister doing this tonight and had to get it on video.

Pretty in Pink
Last night we painted pretty little fingers and toes a perfectly pink color. Big Sister has recently decided she's a "daddy's girl" and asked him to paint her nails first. I heard him from the kitchen telling her, "I don't know how to paint nails. Daddys don't paint nails." She settled for Mama's handiwork. Immediately after painting Big Sister's toes, Little Sister ran a stuffed animal down her leg and wiped the polish off her right foot. This was Little Sister's first time for a pedicure and manicure as she tends to not be able to sit still very long. I had to work quickly and even got the hair dryer on them to ensure they were dry before setting her loose. In the end, both girls were pleased. Big Sister said she couldn't wait to show everyone in her class her fingers and toes. (I'm sure they'll be ecstatic) I encouraged her to just stick with the fingers and not whip off her shoes and socks.

2009
This blog is dedicated to chronicling the lives of my dynamic duo, known in the blogging world as Big Sister and Little Sister. I'm not into scrapbooking. I've wanted to dip my toe in that pool but when it comes to art, I tend to over think things. In other words, I'd never finish. Besides, I didn't need another expensive and time consuming hobby.
I recently discovered a website called www.blurb.com where you can turn your blog into a book. I saw one at a friend's house recently and thought, "That's it! That will be my scrapbook!" So I'm going to blog all year and print the book at the close of 2009. Hopefully in the end I will have a beautiful record of all the silliness.
